Job Description

Summary: The basic functions of this position is to dry and supervise the drying of rice, maintain the day to day operation of the drier, regulate shipping and deliveries; monitor space units; and keep management informed of drier progress and problems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Follow all assignments given by Supervisor
Clean up
Maintenance
Record keeping
Drier operations
Bin clean out
Be able to operate truck scales
Be able to set bins
Be familiar with PLC systems
Be familiar with binning procedures
Be able to maintain product storage in compliance with federal regulations

Basic Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Special Training or Experience Requirements:
Grain drying techniques and have knowledge of Riceland specifications. Attend rice and soybean grading seminars

Language skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud due to the running the sewing line and the production of Johnson Packer bags.
