Forklift Operator: Warehouse 2nd

Job Description

To load, unload, store, inventory and transport finished goods and supplies associated with the packaging and shipping of finished goods. Operate lift trucks, slip-forklifts and pallet jacks. Verify accuracy of counts and labels of all finished goods and supplies against shipping or receiving documents. Operate Ware Management Software (WMS) computer interface to manage inventories.

Basic Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
