Monitor the actions of employees doing a designated job. Make sure that job is done in a safe and productive manner.
Responsible for food safety by following HACCP and Food Safey policies/procedures. Responsible for plant safety by observing persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor. Attend training as requierd or approved by supervisor.
Assist crew on 1st shift if needed
Make sure all paper work is up to date (HACCP, metal det., etc.)
Assign employees daily job tasks
Make sure all machinery is in good operating condition
Make sure all employees are wearing PPE when needed and are adhering to the employee practices policy
Give safety meeting training classes
Be ready at all times for inspections, keep safety and sanitation in good order all the time
Keep maintenance and sanitation schedules up to date
Make sure daily production and downtime are entered in computers on daily basis

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
