Responsible for keeping all extrusion areas clean, assist extrusion operators with breaking down and cleaning production equipment and assist with sanitation in other areas of Rivland as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.
Responsible for food safety by following HACCP and Food Safety policies/procedures. Responsible for plant safety by observing persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor. Attend training as required or approved by supervisor.
Clean extrusion areas, blow down all overheads, sweep floors and remove piles, empty and clean waste hoppers, empty trash, complete required cleaning schedule, perform monthly self- inspection of the department, assist and clean in other areas of Rivland when needed.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school education or equivalent; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Riceland Forklift Certification required

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. When cleaning, compressed air is used for hard to reach places and may cause airborne dust.
