SUMMARY : The main function of this position is to switch railcars and set up bulk trucks for loading
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for food safety by following HACCP and Food Safety policies/procedures. Responsible for plant safety by observing persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor. Attend training as required or approved by supervisor. Set up railcars(hoppers and boxcars) for loading by moving railcars to the appropriate track and load-out. Set up and distribute information on bulk trucks (insure trucks are clean and loadable); Clean and prepare railcars for loading; Fill out all inspection sheets on railcars and bulk trucks; load bulk if necessary; Fumigate railcars when specified; Seal railcars after loaded; Follow safety procedures and work safely.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Must obtain forklift certification, must successfully complete Rail operations & procedures training.
