Mill Equipment Operator

Job Description

Responsible for operating and maintaining milling equipment, graders in the
mill, and hammermill operations as assigned.
Responsible for complying with all safety rules, procedures, and good
manufacturing practices set forth by the company and the government.
Must perform a variety of sanitation duties daily.
Must assist Shift Miller and/or other Mill Equipment Operators with any other mill
activity as needed.

Basic Qualifications

Posiition requires knowledge of, or the ability to, learn inventory software.
Must be able to drive a forklift.
Ability to work in dusty and noisy environment requiring the use of personal
protection equipment.
Ability to work in cold and hot weather; below 30 degrees and above 95
degrees. Will be exposed to outside weather and temperatures.
Ability to stand or sit for more than one hour per occurrence, walk up to 600
feet per occurrence, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands
and arms. Frequently required to talk or hear. Must be able to climb,
balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell. Must be able to
regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, close vision,
distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus; 20/40 vision
or correctable to 20/40.
