Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Drives gasoline, diesel, propane, or electric powered equipment equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.

Operates straight or articulated rubber tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyor, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks or railcards.

Performs routine safety and pre/post operational checks on equipment.

Performs routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning.

Performs plant sanitation; cleaning and disposing of waste, including stagnant water and rice spillage; picking up and disposing of trash/product inside and outside buildings requiring the use of air tools, hand tools, hand broom, scoop, wheel barrow, blower and pressure washer.

Recommend and implement process improvements as approved.

Consult with Supervisor as needed.

Work within a team environment.

Responsible for complying with all safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices set forth by the company and the government.

Complete all related paperwork.

Greet and communicate with visitors and represent the company in a professional manner.

Basic Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Forklift Certification
Front End Loader Certification
*Must take and pass all annual equipment training.
