Education and/or Experience

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Possess thorough knowledge of operation and maintenance of conveying equipment, legs, pits, etc.

Possess thorough knowledge of control panel switches, gates and flow of rice to each bin.

Display knowledge of weighing procedures, maintain accurately all inbound and outbound loads.

Ability to operate within the rough rice system (RIMM)

Ability to sample truck bottoms

Identify different grading factors of milled sample from truck bottoms

Greet and communicate with farmers and visitors and represent the company in a professional manner

Ability to train temporary and seasonal help to work safely and accurately

Maintain and complete all sanitation functions pertaining to work area and any other duties that may be assigned.

Performs light maintenance work and a variety of sanitation duties.

Operates forklift and heavy machinery.

Performs daily inspection of equipment; notifies management of need for repairs.

Completes all related paperwork.

Recommend and implement process improvements as approved.

Consult with Supervisor as required.

Work within a team environment.

Responsible for complying with all safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices set forth by the company and the government.
